The answer will be simple, we are alone, or we feel we’re alone, we humans tend to see that our problems are at the end of the road when we run out of concrete and rational solutions, we forget that our God is bigger than our problems, He created this universe along with us, and our problems are just like dust in his eyes. That is our main problem, we only believe in things that we see, things that can be explained, and things that can be held or touched. God is neither, he is everywhere!
He hears our plea, He hears our outcry, He knows everything! So why do you have to stress yourself out about the things you cannot control or change, because He is our divine judge and lawyer. Let me ask you these questions: why do you worry a lot about your problems?
Have you put in the physical, and spiritual work?
Yes – “Yes, I have, I worked hard for it, and I prayed hard”, then why worry, let God do the rest, just put your faith in Him and He will not fail!
No – “No, I just don’t have the *insert excuse*, but I prayed for it”, then don’t expect an outcome you want? Since God helps those who help themselves.
Remember, that prayer without action is dead. It’s like chasing after the wind.
Have you patiently waited?
Yes – “Yes, I have and I let God do the rest” then don’t worry my dear friend He will give it to you, in His best time.
Never question God’s timing.
Do you wanna be served bread fresh from the oven but it’s half-baked just because you’re starving, or do you wanna wait a couple of minutes to get perfect bread to satisfy your hunger.
No – “No, cause I need it now” don’t ever demand it! God knows when you need it, just be patient and treasure every wisdom He is trying to impart to you within that waiting period. Learn to wait patiently.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
“Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock is cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.”
The scripture is astounding. Habakkuk never failed to praise God even though he may starve to death, wither, and die, on the contrary, he praised God and designated Him as His salvation, and what happened to Habakkuk, God blessed him a thousandfold for patiently waiting. A small price he paid for waiting and is the return of the promise of good life and salvation.
God is your judge, so how to be still in times of strife?
This is a big question for each and every one of us. We are having a hard time not overthinking and worrying, we also tend to forget these things.
- Count our blessing – as we worry and overthink, we forget how blessed we are, there’s a story of a girl, “The girl envied another girl for having a brand new pair of shoes, ’til she saw a girl who doesn’t have a pair of legs then she realized how blessed she was and she thanked God she could still walk.” Giving thanks in everything we have in life, for living and breathing itself, is already a privilege. Remember, God is your lawyer.
- Acknowledge the power of the Holy Spirit – we are too busy thinking of our problems that we forget the existence of a higher power who can dissolve our problems into thin air. Again, never forget the power of the Holy Spirit!
We fear and worry about the hard times we are facing but how to stay still during times of strife. So dear friends, do not give in to problems, acknowledge the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT to guide and help you in the problems you are dealing with. Now say this to yourselves…
I AM NOT ALONE IN THIS FIGHT! THE HOLY SPIRIT IS WITH ME, WHOM SHALL I FEAR!
Keep that in mind, my dear friends. Do not fear, He is with you, God is your judge and lawyer, his ruling is absolute!
