It’s nice to meet you again, precious creation of God. How have you been?
Last time we learned about how we request healing during trials and tribulation, and who is the Holy Spirit now, we will learn about what we need when we ask for miracles and healing, and how important is gratitude in miracles and healing.
Are you ready for today? Before we start, clear your heart and mind and take this moment of peace and solemnity to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you for your journey and learning today.
In requesting miracles and healing, what do you need?
When we request a favor, how do we ask for it from others? We use a deep sincere tone, humble aura, and gestures, and we should never demand, whatever favor our friends may give us in response to our request, we should be grateful and content.
Dear one, the same thing applies when we request for a miracle and healing, we ask in humility, we wait with faith and patience, and we receive with gratitude.
Why are these characteristics important, my dear one?
Humility
Humility means freedom from arrogance and pride, when we are humble we think of ourselves as meek and low in the presence of the Holy Spirit, we are in awe of its power, in 1 Peter 5:6, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.” Humility is the initial key in order to obtain miracles and healing my dear one, you are not above the Holy Spirit.
Faith
Faith means we have a strong belief and trust in something or someone, which in this case my dear one, to the Holy Spirit, we must be fully committed to the miracles and healing we asked for, in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” My dear one, when you have faith in the Holy Spirit, He will bless you abundantly, but nothing is given too quickly, we must wait, and wait with patience.
Patience
Patience means we are waiting and enduring difficult times or circumstances. My dear one, just because you prayed hard and waited long, doesn’t mean you have patience, patience is accepting the fact that the Holy Spirit is doing works in our lives and appreciate all the teachings the Holy Spirit is imparting to us along the journey, so when the harvest time is about to unfold, we would know how to treasure and nurture it. In Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” We should be patient in times of tribulation because our reward is greater than our suffering, so keep the faith and patience my dear beloved.
And what is the most important characteristic we need?
Gratitude
Dear one, gratitude means we are appreciative of whatever is given to us, good or bad. Why is Gratitude a magnet for miracles and healings? In 2 Corinthians 9:11, “You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” The scripture clearly says that thanksgiving or gratitude attracts blessings in the form of miracles and healing from God Almighty.
Gratitude is also a powerful form of adoration and praise to the Holy Spirit when your heart is filled with gratefulness my dear one, the Holy Spirit will bless you abundantly, will guide you unceasingly, and will love you unconditionally. For He is our redeemer, our guide, our salvation, our comforter, our shelter, our God, and our best friend. Imagine, your best friend is the creator of the universe? And your best friend loves you?
Let that sink in my dear one.
James 5:13 said “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.” Whatever situation we have in our lives, we should give thanks and continue to praise the Holy Spirit!
Before we end, have you ever thanked the Holy Spirit for enriching and guiding your life? Take this time to pray in gratitude, thank the Holy Spirit for everything it has done to you.
