How to receive miracles from God? Part One

Dear Precious creation of God,

Today we will talk about Miracles. Since this is probably everyone’s favorite topic, we will devote today’s subject to Miracles. Everyone wants Miracles and everyone loves stories about Miracles. For today we will be learning about how to receive miracles from God, but let’s start with the basics, shall we?

What are miracles?

Dear one, Miracles are defined as a phenomenon or event that takes place that even science or rational reasoning cannot explain. It comes from a higher source of power. But for us believers, it is the faith we put in our prayer that makes Miracles comes true.

According to Hebrews 11:1 (ESV), “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Miracles in life are not seen by human eyes, but if we look into it closely and listen to the Holy Spirit’s conviction and wisdom we can discern that our prayer is eventually unfolding and turning into reality. But dear one, as humans, we are flawed, we tend to believe in things and instances we only see, we are easily deceived of earthly things, therefore we have misconceptions about what are Miracles.

Misconception about Miracles

Let me ask you before we proceed, what is your self-definition of Miracles? Is it something you can measure? Is it something you can see, and wrap your arms around? Is it something you get easily? Or Is it something you pray very hard for, and put a lot of time and effort into before it turns into reality?

Dear one, Miracles are immeasurable, you can have many Miracles a day. The problem is we are so blinded by problems in our lives that we have forgotten to look into things from a different perspective and see that Miracles happen on a daily basis. Miracles are a combination of the things or changes in life we had faith in, prayed for, and worked hard for.

Some Miracles come quickly, while others take more time. However, not all miracles come quickly. We put in the work and time in order for it to become a reality. As the bible has said in James 2:14-26, “Faith without works is dead”. So are miracles.

What are the Miracles we experience every day?

My beloved friend, when you wake up and you’re still alive, do you consider this moment to be a miracle? When you are blessed enough to provide for your family, do you consider your life a miracle?

When you are able to breathe, enjoy a meal, feed your family, and watch the sunset, these are just examples of the daily miracles you experience, but have you thanked the Holy Spirit for these miracles? For some people, they have forgotten to be grateful for the Miracles that occur in their lives every day because they are too mentally clouded about other problems. Some people are so demanding that they ask for more. It is human nature to desire for more, but dear one, you must slow down, count your blessings, and thank the Holy Spirit, because not everyone is blessed enough to wake up and live another day.

Precious one, take this time to pray and thank God, as said in the scriptures – Hebrews 12:28, “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.” However big or small, miracles are miracles, as mentioned it is immeasurable.

Life journey can be trying at times but hard times do not last forever. If  you are going through a difficult time right now,, always remember this:

2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Holy Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Just put all your worries and fears into Him, and work through it He won’t let you down
