Previously, we learned about how to be the right ‘yes-person’. Today we will talk about some quick tips on how do we become a fully realized ‘yes-person’.
Avoid Distraction by Saying “No”
Being a “yes” person does not imply that you have to say “yes” all of the time.
Only say “yes” to possibilities that are beneficial to you. Visualize where you want to be in life and plot your course to get there. Accept everything that comes your way.
It’s crucial to say “no,” but you should only do so when necessary. When you say “no” to something that isn’t important to you, you’re saying “yes” to the prospect of other chances. These changes may assist you in achieving your goals in life.
Accept Life with a “Yes, and” Attitude
Saying “yes” is crucial because it allows you to make the most of your life and embrace whatever comes your way. Saying yes will make your life more fascinating and open up additional options for you.
In improv, the principle of “yes, and” is applied. One participant will set the scene in improv by making a statement about anything. To continue the drama, the other person must accept what has been spoken and expand on it. This is referred to as the “yes, and” principle.
Use this principle in your daily life. Instead of declining an offer, embrace it and see where it leads you. It could lead to something positive, such as a job offer or the establishment of a new friend. You’re not only saying “yes” to something new, but you’re also taking advantage of it.
Don’t Be Afraid of Change
Change is a positive thing. It may be frightening at first, but it is ultimately beneficial.
You are often hesitant to accept something new since you have grown accustomed to your current situation. However, everyone needs to adjust their lives from time to time. It keeps things interesting, which makes getting through the day easier.
Stop and think about it the next time you’re about to say “no” to anything because it doesn’t feel right. Are you turning it down because you don’t want it in your life, or because you’re terrified of stepping outside of your comfort zone? Say “yes” to this exciting new enterprise and put yourself to the test. Stay tuned for more!
