Kindness is a natural quality we have that we show to other people, it is simple and easy to share. It is a quality of friendliness, warmth, affection, compassion, and generosity. Kindness is beyond being nice, it encompasses all positive traits that we humans have. Although, in others’ eyes, kindness could be a sign of weakness and innocence, but do not worry my friend, nevermind what other people say, being kind takes a lot of strength and courage to show and share.

Your Holy Insurance

Kindness is a trait by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit guides and nourishes the weak, the Holy Spirit also makes you strong each and every day for you to be able to withstand all of the problems that life throws at you. Therefore, when we are kind, the Holy Spirit is with us, and if we are not, we are far away from it. So have you been kind lately?

There are a lot of ways to be kind, whether a smile, a gentle gesture of help, a little cheer for those who are going through a lot, a thank you, a simple phone call to our distant friends who are once dear to us, or a self-praise telling yourself “I can do this, for God is with me!”. We have a lot of ways to express kindness to others and even share it. But as hard times in our lives continue to strike, we forget to be kind. But dear friends, please do not forget to be kind, why?

  1. It brings you closer to the Holy Spirit.
  2. It brings you happiness and a sense of fulfillment.
  3. It brings you blessings in many different forms; and
  4. It brings you a sense of belongingness.

Why does it bring you closer to the Holy Spirit? Kindness is its virtue, I will repeat when you are kind, the Holy Spirit is with you, it is your trust fund or insurance in Heaven.

Why does it bring you happiness and a sense of fulfillment? Have you ever tried to smile at someone who’s having a bad day or have you helped someone in need? Yes, it’s both contagious, therefore when you touch someone’s life, you are fulfilled, spiritually. It is your spiritual insurance.

Why does it bring you blessings, “what goes around, comes around” whatever we plant we will harvest, if it’s good, it’s good, and if it’s bad, it’s bad, like the mechanism of insurance, whatever you plant, you reap in the future. Why does it bring you a sense of belonging, being kind in a harsh world creates an atmosphere of kindness.

Before we end, I will ask you this, have you been kind lately? Think about it.

Remember all of those my friends.

Why do we stop being kind?

We stop being kind, due to past experiences like betrayal, deceit, lies, discrimination, and hate but that shouldn’t stop us from being kind. Because kindness is next to Godliness. Many scriptures in the bible state that we should always be kind.

Luke 6:27 (ESV)

“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great.”

Clear and simple right? We must be kind to all people regardless of what we are going through, without expecting anything from them, because at the end of the day, it’s between us and God, no one else. Even God forgave everyone who betrayed Him.
